La Volpe e L’Uva

A lovely barbecue restaurant and pizzeria at the centre of Sassari, in the north of Sardinia, La Volpe e L’Uva is an incredibly popular restaurant in town, offering great value for money. Dishes include top quality beef with salad and roasted potatoes, excellent pasta dishes, and vegetarian selections. There is a wide selection of pizzas – from the most traditional ones such as Margherita or Caprese, to gourmet ones such as Carlofortina, with pesto sauce, tuna, and pachino tomatoes. All pizzas here are delicious, and made with only the best quality ingredients. Although a bit thicker than the usual Italian pizza, the dough is light and crispy. There is a very good selection of desserts, which includes tiramisù, and the star attraction – chocolate soufflé served hot with vanilla ice-cream and whipped cream. Service is excellent.
