You will find totally novel concepts in the restaurant business around the world, brainchild of well-respected chefs and entrepreneurs. However, for many restaurants that have reopened their shops after relaxation in lockdown measures during the ongoing pandemic COVID-19, there is more. It is not only about keeping their business running and your stomach full, but they also want to ensure that their customers do not feel odd while observing social distancing during their meal.
Natthwut Rodchanapanthkul, the owner of Maison Saigon, has come up with a creative idea to provide cute company to the diners at their table. At every seat, stuffed panda dolls have been placed to kill the boredom of the customers while they enjoy their meal and, at the same time, maintain social distancing rule.
By placing one panda doll at every table, the restaurant owner has managed to kill two birds with one stone. His main motive was to cheer up the diners during the time they spend at his restaurant.
Siriporn Assavakarint, a customer, shared that the new seating scene at Maison Saigon is easier to understand in comparison to other eateries, where people get confused regarding where to sit, and often tend to sit too near each other.
Meanwhile, the count of Coronavirus cases in Thailand has crossed the 3000 mark; about 56 people have died since January 2020 so far.
