You might not find the name particularly enticing, but when you realise it's a clever wordplay on the wholesome Vietnamese bowl of pho, your prospects seems brighter. Located just off the street, Phobidden Fruit comprises of two dining areas—a tiny space on the ground floor and a narrow stretch a floor above—connected by a precarious spiral staircase. The food here is delicious, with a distinct flavour setting it apart from the usual Asian fare. The Can Thoi Clams are a good way to start, and the beef pho, is served with all the usual accoutrements on the side and is every bit as delicious as you'd expect the star of the menu to be.
