The food festival is being organised for the first time by Barbeque Nation in its outlets in places such as Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. An official from the Barbeque Nation, referring to this fest, said that the food outlet has been in Kerala for the past 1.5 years, and decided to host this food festival in a move to offer the taste of local cuisine to customers with the experience they gained from this region.
Head of the restaurant chain further informed that this food festival will feature cuisines that are popular in the coastal areas of North Kerala. By attending this fest, foodies will be able to experience traditional Moplah food and culture. Moplah cuisine is unique and quite delectable with Arabic influence; some of the must-haves here are Thalassery chicken biryani, Kozhikal roast, chicken biryani, mutton alias and Elaneer payasam.
The Moplah festival is held every day 11:30 AM to 4 PM and 6:30 PM to 11 PM. The dishes on offer are a balance between vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and has a lot for all. Apart from the regular fare, you will also be able to taste 15 different kinds of desserts here. So yes, do not miss.
