This is by far one of the most atmospheric dining experiences in the city. With a canopied terrace offering expansive views of the lake, and alcoves fitted with comfortable mattresses at their top-most level, you could start with breakfast and stay on till dinner. This is one of those Udaipur institutions – some of the wait-staff have been around for decades – that will make you feel a familiarity even if it’s your first visit. The menu offers everything from continental to Indian fare and superb vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Try their local freshwater fish, which is served fresh, straight from the lake, and their signature laal maas which is of the melt-in-mouth variety.
