Located just off Chinatown’s central street, Nai Mong Hoy Tod is a little café that dishes out big flavours, and the one dish you have to order here, is the Hoy Tod—an omelette topped off with either mussels or oysters. Although you might think an omelette is best eaten at breakfast, this one works for any and all times of the day—soft and fluffy egg dough topped with crunch from the ocean, it is one of the most popular street eats in the city. It has its origins in China, but has been adapted to the Thai palate and can be made to your specifications. Ask for either mussels, oysters, or both, and specify the level of spice.
