But I am sorry, the choice of street foods in Calcutta is absolutely misleading, except Jhal muri & phuchkas. The most popular are the rolls spread all over and not necessarily of Nizam's. Then comes the several street corner food catering to Chinese palates & thanks to Tangra. Then comes the assortment of beguni, alu bhaja etc, followed by assortments of cutlets and Mughlai parathas etc. The choice is just bad and writer has no idea of Calcutta's preferences. Want o enjoy the best street food in Calcutta? Take a stroll from Golpark to Gariahat down till Jasoda Bhavan or towards Rashbehari Avenue till triangular park.
