With a waiting list longer than the menu, you'd expect Bistro d'Antoine to be a stuffy, over-priced affair. Fortunately, it is neither and the recommendation that you book a week in advance is merely to avoid your own inevitable disappointment.
For the 120 customers who pour through the doors every day, the wait is rewarded with a choice of delicious French favourites and regional fare, neatly scrawled on the blackboard menu. The tomato salad, magret de canard and lamb shank are fail-safe options for foodies while oenophiles will be content with the small but well-chosen wine list with bottles starting at EUR 15.
