The crowds don't flock to Beijing for its stark, cafeteria-like setting but for the exquisitely prepared Chinese food. The place is heaving most nights of the week, and the tables are filled with a mix of Mandarin-slinging Chinese expats and residents looking for the real deal.
The ingredients are extremely fresh, as one can gather from the tanks brimming with fish just waiting to be thrown into a stir-fry. Alas, the place is unlicensed, meaning pork is off the menu. Otherwise, the food is as close to China as you can get without jumping on a plane.
