Warung Sharaswaty is an authentic and family run, vegetarian Indian restaurant situated in Ubud. It’s the only pure vegetarian Indian restaurant in Ubud, a place popular with yogis and therefore home to the best selection of vegetarian and vegan restaurants on the island. Warung Sharaswaty offers a relaxing dinning environment with comfortable bean bag chairs to sit on and colourful fabrics (that look like saris!) draped from the ceiling of the open-air bamboo roof. Warung Sharaswaty’s friendly staff serves flavourful vegetarian home-cooked Indian food. Most Indian favourites are served here; they even make their own curd and paneer on site, so dishes like Palak Paneer are likely to be the best you’ll find in Bali. All dishes are cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients, you can choose your level of spice and many dishes can also vegan. The samosas are especially good, while the Bengan Tamatar (eggplant and tomato cooked in Indian spices) is a Warung Sharswaty special.
