The food festival started from September 4 and will continue till September 10. Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena, referring to this development, said that the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is organising food festivals to popularise the local dishes. And because Guntur is a land of spices and chillies, a variety of pickles will be in the buffet for people to taste, including Gongura.
The tourism secretary further said that since the state’s cuisine is popular for its tanginess and variety, the tourism department is making efforts to bring people closer and make Andhra cuisine even more popular among people.
Further, the menu of the food festival has been garnished with chicken pulav, lemon rice, tomato pappu, potato fry, jeera rice, mudda pappu, a variety of pickles and many more. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes have been included in starters and main course. The food has been arranged in rows to facilitate visitors in tasting very dish at the festival.
