This is one of the few places in the city that serves Gujarati, Rajasthani, Maharashtrian and Health thalis, all under one roof, and does a pretty good job of them too. The set meal begins with starters like bhajiya, dhokla, chaas, jaljeera, salads and snacks which are just too many to count or consume. But if you’re opting for a thali meal, the idea is to take it slow, cherish every item on the list and make a long and satisfying meal of it. In the Maharastrian thali, the popular star dishes include ‘methi chi bhaji’, ‘puran poli’ (sweet roti) and ‘rai batata’ which are best clubbed with ‘bajre ki roti’. If you pick the Rajasthani thali, you will particularly enjoy the ‘Rajasthani saagh’, ‘gatte ki sabzi’ and the ‘daal baati churma’ which are prepared in a traditional way and offer a distinct flavour of Rajasthan. Among desserts, the gulab jamun, bundi and kheer scores above the fruit custard.
