Kolocep is a tiny island with a population of less than 400 people. It is a short ferry ride away from Dubrovnik. It takes nearly half an hour to reach Kolocep from Dubrovnik’s harbour. The sense of peace and tranquillity on this island is precious to all visitors. Go here just to relax and relish the soothing atmosphere. Enjoy long, leisurely walks on the tiny paths running through the pine forests. If visiting churches interests you, go to the historical churches from the 11th and 12th centuries that include the Church of St Sergius, the Church of St Nicholas and the Church of the Holy Trinity. The sandy beaches of Kolocep are extremely inviting. Just laze and enjoy the environment. The waters here are crystal clear—swimmers and photographers love Kolocep’s beaches.
