Do not be misled by the name. Buffet Skola isn’t a restaurant that specialises in huge buffet meals. Instead it offers some of the tastiest local dishes in Dubrovnik at pocket-friendly prices. It is quite a find given the location. Everything around Dubrovnik’s Stradun is overpriced. It’s hard to find cheap meals around here. But Buffet Skola offers some amazing sandwiches for budget travellers. Their homemade bread ensures anyone who eats here once keeps coming back for more. Buffet Skola uses a lot of local ingredients, so it is as Croatian as it gets. We would highly recommend sampling their scrumptious strudels and pršut (home-cured ham) sandwich. If you’re visiting Dubrovnik during winter months, chances are you would be shivering your backsides off while exploring its architectural gems. In that case, make sure you try Skola’s coffees and hot chocolates. They’re god sent on a cold day in Dubrovnik. Drinks here are made with much love and attention and it’s easy to see that. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious homemade bread—Buffet Skola is a gem of a find!
