Get down with Joyce and the gang
Word to the wise: Check the museum's website for special literary-flavoured events, such as a self-guided audio-walk taking you on a tour of the city landscape of 'Dubliners'.
Joyce, Yeats, Beckett, Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Bram Stoker are amongst those represented by first editions, photographs and memorabilia, with the booze-loving Brendan Behan proving particularly good value ('Great spot for a quiet piss up', reads his postcard from Los Angeles).
Situated in a Georgian building in the peaceful Parnell Square, a visit to the museum is easily combined with the Hugh Lane gallery, just a few doors along.
