There are few opportunities in Dubai to try Emirati food—a cuisine that is essentially home-based—and fewer still to gorge on camel. Local House covers both bases by offering a variety of Emirati stews, plus camel burgers and kebabs.
The setting is traditional Arabic. Local House is set in an old wind tower in the heart of historical Bastakiya. Private, carpeted booths allow patrons to eat Arabic-style (that is, on the floor). Service is a bit slow, and the vibe somewhat touristy, but as a means to sample the local fare, Local House fits the bill.
