Tiger Hill is located about 11 kilometres from the town of Darjeeling and stands at an altitude of 2,567 metres (8,417 feet) above sea level. It is the highest point in the region and offers panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including the towering peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world.
The best time to visit Tiger Hill is during the pre-dawn hours, typically between 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM, when the sky is clear and the weather is favourable for viewing the sunrise. The months of October to December and February to April are generally considered the best times to visit, as the skies are usually clear, offering unobstructed views of the Himalayan range.
