Remembering Chandler Bing’s travel tales from FRIENDS, world’s most-loved sitcom!

The world woke up to the news of the sad demise of one of their favorite FRIENDS’ (sitcom) characters, Chandler Bing (reel name). Matthew Perry portrayed the character with such conviction that the world largely forgot his real name! Perry was only 54 years old and is gone too soon.

Matthew shot to fame with FRIENDS, one of the most popular American sitcoms that successfully ran for 10 years. The iconic series that premiered in 1994 ended in 2004 and left a void in the hearts of its fans.
In these 10 seasons, Courtney Cox (Monica Geller-Bing), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) became best friends in real life as well.

The series chronicled the dramas, love lives and in-jokes of six young friends struggling in New York City and making a life out of nothing while sipping coffee at the local cafe Central Perk.

The one where Chandler goes to Montauk, Season 3: Chandler and others travel to Montauk on Phoebe’s invitation. The gang stays at a beach house and enjoys a game of poker. This is the episode where Monica gets bit by jellyfish and Joey helps her in the most unexpected way and Chandler has to witness the traumatic (read funny) incident.

The one where Chandler goes to Yemen, Season 4: This is one of the famous episodes when Chandler had to head to Yemen just to avoid Janice (his on and off girlfriend on the show). Because he didn't want to break her heart by ending the relationship, he lies to Janiceabout shifting to Yemen to work for his company. The episode ends with Chandler buying a pricey plane ticket to Yemen.

The one where Chandler goes to Jersey, Season 5: In this season, we saw Chandler and Monica confessing love for each other. But the two are seen struggling to hide their romantic relationship from other friends. So, the couple decides to go on a romantic trip to Jersey. And the rest is history!

The one where Chandler goes to Las Vegas, Season 5: In this episode, Chandler and gang travels to Las Vegas where Joey works at Caesars Palace (a casino hotel). This particular scene was spread over two episodes and has a lot of happening incidents.

The one where Chandler visits Vermont, Season 9: In season 9, Chandler travels to Vermont with Ross just to get a refund from a hotel. This is one of the most hilarious episodes wherein Ross ends up getting high on sugar (maple candy).

The one where Chandler goes to Barbados, Season 9: In this episode, Chandler travels to Barbados along with others, to support Ross who has been selected to deliver a keynote speech. It’s Ross who invites all to come along. The episode ends with Chandler winning a game of table tennis for Monica against Mike (Phoebe’s husband).

The one where Chandler goes to Ohio, Season 10: Chandler travels to Ohio with Monica to meet Erica (the woman who gives them twins for adoption). In this season, the couple realises that they can’t become parents naturally, so they find a woman who is willing to give them one.
