Wellington’s popular funicular railway has been running since 1902. Over the past century, it has run a nearly straight course from Lambton Quay to Kelburn and has become one of Wellington’s main tourist attractions because of its historic significance. A museum commemorating the cable car lies near the Salamanca stop, one of three stops on the famous route. Cars leave from Lambton Quay every 10 minutes. The Luge, a gravity ride on a 3-wheel cart, is a fun ride for all ages. The unique braking and steering system provides the rider full control and allows them to travel as fast or slow as they wish.'
