Weather in Delhi-NCR is getting all romantic as monsoon finally arrives here. Monday saw the city sky turn dark and cloudy, and there were strong dust winds accompanied by rain. As per the reports, light showers in Delhi-NCR have been predicted until Thursday. Monsoon rain comes as a huge relief for the city that was battling with heat for a long time.
The temperature in Delhi-NCR remained low, with 26.6 degree celsius in the morning, peaking at 36 degree celsius in the afternoon. Later, in the evening, the temperature dropped once again.
According to a statement by the Indian Meteorological Department, “the city is likely to receive light rain till Thursday.”
Meanwhile, two flights had been diverted from the Delhi airport due to rain and wind on Monday evening. The two flights had gotten diverted to Lucknow airport. There has also been a prediction of widespread rainfall for Assam and Meghalaya for the next 24 hours.
