Reports suggest that Hawaii is also planning to implement facial recognition technology and thermal screening stations by the end of 2020 to help with the process. With the help of this technology, it is expected that it would accelerate the process of tracking people in the airport while they’re being screened for the COVID-19.
Ige introduced the mandatory self-quarantine measures in March for all residents and tourists arriving in the region.
Officials informed that state's inter-island quarantine rules will likely be lifted next week; however, anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees will not be allowed to fly.
