It is time to celebrate one of the biggest religious events of the year in Odisha, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. It is expected that like every year, many enthusiastic pilgrims will be visiting Jagannath Puri in Odisha in the coming days.
According to the news reports, the railways will use electronic media at the Puri Railway Station to inform the passengers about this initiative. In addition, an app called 'ECOR Travel' has been launched for the Jagannath Rath Yatra; the app gives all the necessary travel-related information about Puri Rath Yatra.
The railways will also open 60 new railway ticket booking counters at the Puri railway station. Besides, automatic ticket vending machines will be put up at the station. At the Puri railway station, Railway Protection Force (RPF), sniffer dogs, police teams and government railway police force will be present to ensure the security of the visitors.
