The waterfalls comes tumbling down from the Auyán-Tepui plateau in the Gran Sabana region. As the sun sets, Angel Falls transforms into a silver ribbon, gracefully making its way down to the untouched wilderness below. The journey, after the flight, starts from Canaima, where you can also shop for handmade souvenirs. One can camp in the jungle there at the designated campsites and take a boat ride the next morning for Angel Falls.

This is perhaps the most exhilarating part of the journey as travellers canoe across a wild river, usually getting splashed by cold water. After around 3.5 hours on a boat or canoe, one has to hike up through the dense jungle to finally feast their eyes on the marvel that is Angel Falls.
