An imposing and impressive structure with a plethora of towers and turrets, Valencia Cathedral is actually a curious amalgamation of different architectural styles. This is instantly discernible from the three distinct doors which belong to different periods. The building is predominantly Gothic and has a beautiful façade with detailing (as well as on the inside). Over the centuries, various rulers have added on to it, and so there are elements belonging to the Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Classical periods. You can wander around inside to gaze at various details and even troop up to the Micalet Tower which provides beautiful panoramic views of the city. In the same square are the Crypt of Saint Vincent, palaces and the Almoina Museum.
