If you thought motorbiking is a men’s thing, then you must partake in the India Bike Week (IBW) which is scheduled in Goa on December 6 nd 7, 2019. A perfect event by the beach! This year, the bike week will be breaking all the stereotypes and see the participation of some amazing women bikers, who are all set to surprise everyone with their stunts on the roads of Goa. If you thought motorbiking is a men’s thing, then you must partake in the India Bike Week (IBW) which is scheduled in Goa on December 6 nd 7, 2019. A perfect event by the beach! This year, the bike week will be breaking all the stereotypes and see the participation of some amazing women bikers, who are all set to surprise everyone with their stunts on the roads of Goa.
Some of the prime attractions at IBW are the Super Six events. Here, participants will get a chance to take part in racing and learn from the experiences of leading bikers. There will be some great pulsating music and shops, from where people can buy a wide range of biking accessories.
Another major attraction of the bike week in Goa will be women bikers, who will be celebrating the sisterhood of bikers! Some of the renowned women bikers and travellers the event will see are:
Candida Louis: With more than 11 years of experience with motorbikes, Candida has been to South Africa, Indonesia, Cambodia, USA and Australia on her motorcycle. The gorgeous woman has been on motorcycle expeditions for a long time and has by now taken about 34 customised biking group tours, both India and abroad. She has already motorbiked in 14 countries and five continents, which is a phenomenal achievement in itself.
Dr. Maral Maya: Known as the Queen of Superbikes of India, Maya is an Irani-born motorcycle world record holder. She holds the record for the highest mileage on a superbike for ladies, with over 250000 km! The woman has been on several biking tours across seven continents and has already explored Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Africa and Europe, that too without any backup or team!
Dr. Neharika Yadav: A dentist from Gurgaon, Neharika is a renowned Indian biker, who has clocked around 5000 km at the Buddh International Circuit. She has been on myriad bike expeditions till date and is only one of the only two professional women racers in India.
