Trebinje is a lesser known town of Bosnia and gets shadowed under its more popular neighbour Dubrovnik. Very few tourists venture here but those who do get completely taken in by its old town charm. Located at a distance of about 28 km, it is just an hour away from Dubrovnik. Start your day with a hike up to reach Arhangel Mihailo Church, which is a brand new church and gives the most picturesque view of the town and the surrounding hills. After the hike, just keep walking along the TrebiĆĄnjica River to reach the Arslanagic Bridge, which is Trebinje’s most famous architectural landmark. If you are still up to it, you could climb to the Hercegovacka Gracanica hilltop for yet another beautiful view and also to see the grand and impressive Presvete Bogorodice Church. After this tedious walk up and down the hilltop, just relax with a beer and some yummy local kebabs and call it a day.
