According to reports, taking international flights from India is becoming increasingly difficult due to a rise in fares. Since the suspension of Indian carrier Jet Airways on April 17, 2019, the airline industry has seen a rise in ticket prices, especially international ones. This could be attributed to the fact that the Indian carrier used to run 40 of its 100 aircrafts internationally.
On the other hand, following the issue with Jet, alongside the general elections, and grounding of Boeing 737 Max, this summer’s vacation travel plans have changed for a lot of travellers in India. According to a recent survey, only 68 per cent of Indians planned a summer vacation, as compared to last year’s 81 per cent.
