How to reach Tirthan Valley
Tirthan Valley is accessible by road, with the nearest major town being Aut, located about 26 kilometres away.
By air: The closest airport is Bhuntar Airport, near Kullu, approximately 50 kilometres from Tirthan Valley. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to reach the valley.
By road: Tirthan Valley is well-connected by road. If you’re travelling from Delhi, the distance is around 465 kilometres, and it takes about 12-13 hours to reach. You can take a bus from Delhi to Manali and get off at Aut. From Aut, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to Tirthan Valley.

Trekking: Tirthan Valley is a gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Several trekking routes, ranging from easy to challenging, take you to the park. The route offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, dense forests, and diverse wildlife.

If you are visiting in the springtime (March to April), you will be able to see the valley come alive with blooming flowers and lush greenery. Summer (May to June) is the best time for trekking and camping, as the weather is warm and comfortable. Autumn (September to November) is less crowded, and the weather is crisp and cool, perfect for those who prefer a quieter experience. In winter (December to February) Tirthan Valley is a winter wonderland. However, accessibility can be an issue due to snow-blocked roads.
