This summer, mango tourism is the new craze

The craze for mango tourism, aka mango tours, is picking up pace despite this time being an off-year, i.e., when the production of mangoes has been low. During late March to July, mango madness is clearly visible in India, a reason why mango tourism is gaining pace in some parts of India.

Summers are here and so are the mangoes. While some will try to sneak out from their crazy city-life chaos and go for a trip in the hills, others might just make peace with the idea that they don’t have the option to do so. For the latter category, mango tourism can serve as the purpose.
The Karnataka State Mango Development and Marketing Board (KSMDMB) has organised mango tourism for the third consecutive year for Bengalureans. The demand for such tours has grown so much over the years that the tours are also available in other states. The Karnataka board is so impressed by the results that it is also in talks with the tourism department and state government to include it on the tourism map. In fact, the board is of the view that mango tourism is now gaining more popularity than wine tourism.

Mango Tourism, Malda, West Bengal
