The most anticipated wine festival in the world is back, after a whopping 20 years! The Swiss wine festival, called FĂȘte des Vignerons (translates to Festival of Winegrowers), is going to be hosted this summer, and would last for three weeks. This celebration of wine is going to be hosted in the famous town of Vevey, and will start on July 20. It is going to go on until August 11, so that interested folks have enough time to experience this incredible festival.
The festival was last hosted in 1999, and thus, has created a lot of buzz among people this year. The event is so immensely popular that UNESCO has recognised it, placing it in UNESCOâs list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, calling it a living tradition.
The festival makes everything all the more livelier in this part of Switzerland, as pop-up restaurants dot the town, and a lot of celebrations occur during this time. There is so much to explore here in Switzerland, from chocolate shops to lovely museums. The festival, of course, is the prime focus during this three-weeks, and the demand is always high. So, if you are keen to visit, make bookings at the earliest.
