One of south India’s most famous temples, the Subrahmanya temple is perched at an altitude of 135 m, and is approached by 659 steps, or alternatively by using the winch facility. The festivals of Tai Pusam (January) and Panguni Uttaram (April) are carried out on the premises with great pomp and show.
