People from Cagliari and the surroundings crowd this gorgeous beach located on the south coast of Sardinia, at about 1 hour drive from the main city. It is an incredibly beautiful beach of fine golden sand and clear waters, with sand dunes covered by Mediterranean vegetation at the back, as well as a lagoon where pink flamingos can often be spotted. There is a small island right in front of the beach that can be easily reached as the water is quite shallow, and it is fine to explore and take aerial pictures of the beach. The beach has easy access via a footpath, so also suitable for disabled. There are several kiosks selling food and drinks and renting umbrellas, sun beds and other kind of equipment. Avoid going on windy days as the wind blows sand everywhere and it can be quite annoying.
