Arguably one of the best vantage points of the city, St. Michael’s Bridge stands right next to the St. Michael’s Church, near Korenmarkt. It is situated on the River Leie, looking towards the city centre, and one can observe the three towers of Ghent: the St. Nicholas' Church, the Belfry and the Saint Bavo Cathedral from the bridge. A neo-gothic bridge build in 1910, St. Michael’s bridge is an ideal spot to commence exploring Ghent in all its beauty. The canal is also lined up with many medieval architectural marvels that you can look at from the bridge.
