Soon, you might be able to take a boat ride from Delhi to Agra and enjoy a trip to Taj Mahal. This might actually be possible soon as the government is planning to promote water tourism in the zone by developing water routes.

For the said project, i.e., developing the Delhi-Agra-Prayagraj water route, around INR 12000 crore will be invested. This means that one will be able to travel to Agra to Prayagraj via this new route.Union Minister of Water Resources and River Development Nitin Gadkari, referring to this development, said that his Ministry has already worked out on the said plan, which will be submitted to the World Bank soon.
Nitin Gadkari further stated that the Ministry’s motive is to offer people a new mode to reach Taj Mahal. With the completion of this, you will enjoy the experience of travelling from Agra to Prayagraj and Delhi to Agra via Yamuna river. The minister also mentioned that they already have aero boats, which are capable of running both on water and in the air.

As per the news reports, according to the Ministry, once the key rivers are clean, water tourism can create wonders. In fact, water tourism will also improve the scope of transporting goods via water.
While the completion of this project will open up many new prospects, the very idea of travelling from Delhi to Taj Mahal in a boat has raised our hopes and piqued our excitement.
