Those wanting to visit Kedarnath shrine this year have some good news awaiting them. You can now opt to avoid the arduous trek and hop onto a helicopter instead. Two additional helicopter services have been announced for the yatra, and their booking has already started; cost for one way ride per person is INR 2349. Read less
As per the latest news reports, the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Authority has recently announced two additional helicopter services, which will take pilgrims to the revered Kedarnath Temple from Sersi in Uttarakhand.
Sersi, located between Sonprayag and Phata, is around 7 km south of the Kedarnath shrine. However, prior to booking the helicopter services, you will have to consult the operators regarding the availability of slots and time.
And now when the tourist season is at its peak, it is expected that tons of pilgrims will visit the temple in the coming days; with the newly launched helicopter services, it will also help them reach the shine easily.
