Sisodia Rani ka Bagh is an impressive palace garden built during the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for his lovely queen, who belonged to the Sisodia line of Suryavanshi Rajputs. Visitors can see tiered multilevel gardens here with beautiful fountains and painted pavilions. There is also a two-storey palace on the terrace of the garden, which adds to the beauty of this place. On the walls of the palace one can see murals narrating scenes from the life of Lord Krishna and Radha. Apart from all these, this beautiful garden is sated with flowerbeds, galleries and old wall paintings. Even our film industry was bowled over with the beauty of this impressive garden and featured it in the 1991 film ‘Lamhe’, starring Anil Kapoor and Sri Devi.
