So you’re on vacation to Mount Abu but want to explore more of Rajasthan. While Mount Abu is unique in the sense that it is the only hill station in the desert-dominated topography of Rajasthan, it’s not why people visit the State. Cities like Udaipur and Jodhpur attract many more visitors who’re drawn to the cities’ immaculately-maintained palaces, forts, and, as is the case with Udaipur, even lakes. Unless you’re in Mount Abu at the peak of summer when a cool breeze beats all other considerations, there’s really no reason not to head down to the plains and explore these fascinating cities.
