Still unaffected by the tourist traffic, this beach is separated by a large promontory from the southern side of Kovalam. Situated in the northernmost part of town Samudra Beach is used mainly by the native fishermen for trade purposes. The beach also has a few upscale resorts for those who want their share of tranquillity and complete isolation from the world, and can splurge on accommodation.
