Dubai Dancing Fountain

Designed by California based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, Dubai Dancing Fountain is located on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, and shoots water jet at a height of 500 ft, equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. The fountain performs daily, and the performance repertoire includes Sama Dubai, Baba Yetu, Shik Shak Shok (popular dance number in the Arab world), and the signature piece of the world-famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te Partiro.
The Dancing Fountain includes the most advanced incandescent large fountain lights available today, with 25-colour projectors that create a visual spectrum of more than 1000 abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be noticed from over 20 mi away, and will be visible from space, making it the brightest spot in the whole of the Middle East and the entire world.

The fountain has several high-pressure water jets and shooters that make water dance, super shooters that shoot water upwards under pressure up to 240 ft in the air, and extreme shooters that can shoot water under pressure to 500 ft in the air. These shooters create a loud ‘boom’ noise after water is ejected. The super shooters are least used during each show, as it takes a lot of time to build up enough pressure and energy to shoot water high in the air.
To view this world’s largest performing fountain, you can set sail on the ultimate ride along Burj Lake, or board an abra (traditional boat) and enjoy the breathtaking show. Tickets for the show are priced at Dh65 per person, and are available at The Dubai Fountain Lake Ride kiosk at the Fountain Promenade and At the Top, Burj Khalifa ticket counter. First afternoon show at 1pm and the second one is at 1.30pm. It remains open between 6pm and 11pm from Sunday to Wednesday and between 6pm and 11:30pm from Thursday to Saturday.
