Starting from Whakatane enjoy the 2.5 hour road trip to Gisborne as you head to one the greatest natural free attractions that the country has to offer: a 60 m long natural water slide over smooth rocks and a picturesque 5 m high waterfall and swimming hole location! Once you hit Gisborne, head 50 km northwest on Wharekopae Road, ‘til you reach the small community of Rere. As you head down to the Wharekopae River, you will come to your action-packed and energy-killing location. Just make sure to pack your car hire with a boogie board, inflatable mattress or tire tube to make the most of the Rere Rockslide sweet summer spot.
