Ubud is home to some stunning 5 star resorts, luxury spas and retreats that often have stunning views over the rice terraces. There are plenty of cheap guest houses and mid-range hotels here. Ubud has many great cafes and dining options, especially vegan and vegetarian restaurants but not much of a nightlife scene. Due to Ubud’s popularity the centre of Ubud is no longer a peaceful village, so to really find inner peace you’ll need to stay at bit further out to escape the crowds. If you want the best of both world’s maybe split your holiday to stay in a beach resort and also stay near Ubud for a couple of nights.
