Vizag soon to facilitate tourist travel with a 10-seater speed boat ride

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has collaborated with Kakinada Port to introduce a 10-seater speed boat to facilitate travel for tourists. This speed boat will be added to their line of already available four speed and scooter boats at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam.
The authorities have invested INR 8.50 lakh to add this 10-seater speed boat to their fleet. And as the Rushikonda shore does not possess a jetty facility like the ones found at the fishing harbour, officials are trying to device plans to facilitate the process.

P Venkateshwara Rao, Deputy Manager of Speed Boat Tourism, said, “We have been granted permissions from the Kakinada Port, and forwarded them to VPT officials”. The deputy manager also informed that the 10-seater speed boat rides will kickstart in a week at the harbour.
As per the news reports, tiger safaris will also be coming up in Visakhapatnam to develop the region as a major tourist hotspot. Steps will be taken to develop eco-tourism in this region as well.
Surrounded by hills on one side and beaches on the other, Visakhapatnam has the potential to attract both domestic and international tourists. With tons of amazing places to visit and things to do, Visakhapatnam is developing at a fast pace. The authorities are also striving hard to promote this region as a major tourism hub.
