About 4 kilometres from Yercaud Bus stand is located the beautifully made temple of Goddess Raja Rajeshwari. The scenic valley surrounding the temple and its inherent spiritual vibrations pull pilgrims and tourists to offer their prayers to the Mother of All Beings. In the Hindu pantheon, Goddess Raja Rajeshwari is one of the ten Mahavidyas or most exalted aspects of the Highest Power (God) in the feminine form. The foundation of the temple was laid down by Tirukovilur Thapovanam Srila Sri Gnananada Giri Swami Parampara, follower of Swami Poornanda Giri, in 1983. The inner chambers of the temple house 4.5 feet tall idol of Goddess Raja Rajeswari idol in a seated posture. The idols of Shiva, Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi, Brahma and his companion Saraswati are also present in the temple. Perhaps, this is another rare temple in India where an idol of Lord Bramha is worshipped, the first site being the Bramha Temple in Pushkar. The temple of Mother Raja Rajeshwari is popular among the people because of its power to grant sincere prayers.
