To get to Radium Hot Springs, it is a 3-hour drive from Calgary and you actually get to cross into the province of British Columbia. The town of Radium is not large by any means but charms visitors with its quaint feel and surprising number of attractions and activities. In the winter or summer, the most favourite activity is to head to the hot springs pools located just outside town. Here kids and adults alike will relish in soaking in these mineral pools. There are two pools here, one that is hotter than the other and the colder one features an awesome slide that both kids and parents enjoy going down. Other activities here include biking, hiking, helicopter tours, mini-putt and more. The farmers market is always a hit during the summer months and runs on Friday evenings complete with a plethora of vendors and musical acts from 7pm-9pm. There are a variety of accommodations to be found here as well as dining options. Keep your eyes out for the mountain sheep that often roam around town, make sure to grab and ice cream and watch as the sun set and enjoy this easy and enjoyable weekend getaway located just 3 hours from Calgary.
