I agree with the listing. However, one of the places in NYC whose memory I personally cherish is the Brooklyn Promenade. It is a very quiet place, especially in the mornings, with no crowds or the ubiquitous tourists. Walking up and down the length of the promenade, enjoying the sight of the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan, the imposing Brooklyn Bridge and the magnificent mansions and Town Houses alongside is a very pleasant and satisfying experience indeed. One can rest on the benches facing the East River and Manhattan and absorb the spectacle of activity on the river and beyond to the Liberty Island, with the Staten Island Ferries criss crossing all the time, the looming skyline of Lower Manhattan as a backdrop. Spending time there is a highly soothing experience.Read More
