Best Time to VisitThe best time to visit Pong Dam Lake is during November to February. This is when the migratory birds arrive in large numbers. However, if you prefer outdoor activities like camping, the monsoon and early summer months (July to September) provide pleasant weather.

How to Reach Pong Dam Lake
Pong Dam is well-connected by road. The lake is just 65 kilometres away from Dharamsala, 85 kilometres from Pathankot and approximately 230 kilometres from Chandigarh. It is also one of the most scenic journeys in Himachal Pradesh. If you are planning to take the train, Pathankot Railway Station would be the nearest railway station. It is located 85 kilometres from Pong Dam Lake. It is also a very good long weekend getaway from Delhi.
