The thrill of hanging in the wild – at Quepos, this is something interestingly unique for adventure seekers. There is a wealth of Costa Rican forests to be explored. A cable or zip line is put across two points inside a forest. Then, an individual is harnessed through cords and carabiners. This is a horizontal free fall of sorts where an individual is let loose from a little elevated end of the zip line. Gathering momentum, the individual reaches the other end with a lovely bird's eye view of the forest. They are easy and fun way to explore the forests, especially with children. Quepos has two tour groups that organize the canopy tours. You can simple land up there and wait in queue. No prior booking is required. Other places where you can enjoy a canopy tour are Braulio Carilllo, the Montevere Trainforest, and a zipline tour near Santa Maria de Dota.
