The stunning Punta Molentis, not far from Villasimius and on the old road that connects it with Costa Rei, at about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Cagliari, may well be paradise. It is a small beach with fine white sand and incredibly clear and turquoise shallow water. There is a car park which is about 800 m from the beach (which is completely surrounded by nature), and it is accessed via a set of stairs, which means that it is quite hard to access for disabled. There is a kiosk that sells snack, sandwiches and quick meals, and a place to rent umbrellas and sun beds. Punta Molentis gets incredibly crowded during July and August. So either plan to visit in June or September, or be prepared to feel quite tight.
