Dargah of Alauddin Ali Ahmed Sabir Kalyari, a 13th century Sufi saint, Piran Kaliyar is one of the more offbeat attractions in Haridwar. It was built by the erstwhile ruler of Delhi, Ibrahim Lodhi. Revered by people of all faiths, it is at a drive of around 40 minutes from the town. An annual fair, Urs, is hosted at the dargah, attracting devotees from all around the world. The dargah complex is simple yet boasts of impressive architecture with its frescos and motifs.
