The event was inaugurated in a programme held at the Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi by Mahesh Sharma, minister of state (independent charge) for culture. During this time, a number of activities and events will take place to highlight the importance of prime tourist attractions in the country. It will also focus on the local art and craft by organising various exhibitions and workshops. Food of the region will also be a focal point of this. Activities such as competitions for students and educational programmes for tourism service providers will be arranged at various locations across the country.
